When correctly positioned, the flexible flap bends against the header as the door closes, helping reduce daylight, drafts, dust, leaves and insects entering through the gap above the door. The TPV-modified PVC profile combines a firm 0.70 in mounting edge with a flexible 1.90 in sealing flap. Its overall width is 2.67 in, with an approximate material thickness of 0.07 in. The rigid section provides a defined area for screw attachment, while the flexible section creates contact along the upper header. This garage door top weather seal has no adhesive backing. Position the rigid edge along the top of the door and secure it with the 30 included self-tapping screws. Depending on the door material, thickness and construction, pre-drilling or alternate fasteners may be required. Measure the full top edge of the garage door before ordering. Confirm the mounting direction and contact point before trimming the strip with a sharp utility knife, heavy-duty shears or another suitable cutting tool.
