Antique Light Green MASONS PATENT Jar Quart Zinc Lid RARE Texture Nov 30 1858
This is a cool jar! The lettering is hard to see, as if it has melted into the jar. It says MASON'S PATENT NOV 30th 1858 . The lid is zinc and is lined with milk glass (which has a crack through it). The lip is ground. The bottom of the jar is marked with mold number 10 . The texture of the bottom is whittled and the sides of the jar have a rare texture. There are a few small bits that look whittled like the bottom, but the majority of the jar has a texture that is all lines, as if it has been raked or combed . There are also several bubbles scattered around. For color comparison, the last picture shows this jar on the left next to a standard blue jar on the right. (**The last picture is for color comparison only. The blue jar is NOT included.)
Nice condition! No major chips or any cracks. Lid is included. Please see pics and read description for the condition.
