Through his S-2 periodic reports and field notes together they demonstrate how more than financial concerns play a role in the way their sacrifices have inspired others towards the greater good of humanity. By focusing on the bigger picture, which, as large as the treasure was, is only a fraction of the successful missions of the soldiers of General George Patton's 3rd Battalion, 358th Regiment, 90th Infantry Division's exercises in WWII's European Theatre of War "Operation Overlord" most often referred to as "D-Day".The 90th Infantry Division is also credited with participating in the Normandy France "Utah Beach" landing, The "Battle of the Bulge", "Merker's Salt Mine Treasure Hoard Discovery", "Liberation of Czechoslovakia", "Liberation of Flossenburg Concentration Camp" and many other battles in between then ending their mission in "Waldmunchen, Bavaria" at which time the Third Reich surrenders. With two and a half years of military preparation and an exquisite eleven month successful maneuver execution they rage forward through unimaginable challenges.War Lords. Included in this presentation are the personal dynamics of my Grandfather's life and death and why his participation in family, community, civilian and military careers made the world a better place. By sharing a candid look at the aftermath of the crescendo from these journeys we can explore what effects they have had on the brave men and women both abroad and at home here in the USA. There really are no other books to compare to this and as an anomaly this story seeks to find a broad audience who are also interested in creative perspectives of global situations.
