The EasyPro PA34W 1/4 HP Rocking Piston Aeration System Kit with Quick Sink Tubing uses a shore-mounted air compressor that pumps oxygen through a hose to a special diffuser lying on the pond bottom. Because the bottom of the pond is where the most oxygen is consumed, this diffused air system is an ideal way to deliver oxygen to where it is needed most. As the bubbles rise out of the diffuser, they create a lifting or boiling action, which produces considerable circulation throughout the pond. This circulation helps to prevent water stratification. The added oxygen and, equally important, the circulation help to create a stable and productive ecosystem. The amount of surface area an aeration system will effectively cover depends greatly on two factors: depth and shape. A long, narrow pond may require multiple diffusers to aerate the entire pond property. A square, circular or oval pond that is 1 acre or less in size usually can be aerated from one central diffuser. The PA34W kit includes compressor, air outlet with pressure relief valve, 100 feet of 3/8 inch Quick Sink weighted tubing, QS1 Quick Sink self weighted single head air diffuser, fittings and clamps. The compressor has a 2 year warranty. The tubing and diffuser have a 5 year warranty.
