The Executive board is the governing body of CAPED. It may receive and act on recommendations from the Officers Council and from other members of the Executive Board. The Board’s voting members include several Officers Council members, all CIG leaders, and higher Education System liaisons if available. Please note, Ex-officio members and others may be invited to attend by the President but have no voting privileges. Current ex-officio members and others are: Executive Assistant, Fiscal Coordinator, Historian, all committee chairs, CAPED Convention Planner, CAPED Website Master, CAPED Fund Development Coordinator, Mentorship Program Coordinator, Regional Coordinators, Legislative Consultant and Student Representative if available.
Please also note that the Executive Board must have a quorum of a simple majority of total members to take action on resolutions or motions. A vote of passage is usually by simple majority, with some exceptions as stated in the Bylaws. There is no voting by absentee ballot at regularly scheduled meetings.
